A flower essence is a solar-infused flower water that is a subtle, but powerful way to process emotional trauma. Flower essences resemble homeopathic remedies, as they hold a vibration and energetic memory of the plant material that has been used. They work energetically through our emotional body, which influences our mental and physical health. They help to clear emotional blockages, while not suppressing the emotions that surface, as pharmaceuticals are known to do.
Flower essences give us the ability to grasp the deeper meaning behind the experience and help us to move through it faster. There are specific essences for each emotional experience and they create balance in mind, body and spirit. As emotional blockages are cleared, health can be restored.
Flower essences require an open mind. Energetic medicine is often considered to be too esoteric for some. It is encouraged to take the larger message of creating awareness of emotional patterns to assist in over all healing. This alone can have a profound effect on transforming an emotional state, which has been proven with the placebo effect to be of benefit. When we give attention to particular thoughts—we reinforce those thoughts.
Dr. Edward Bach discovered flower essences in the 1920’s and 1930’s in England. He created 38 different essences that are known today as the, “Original Bach Flower Remedies.” His motivation was aimed toward making specific essences for the many emotional and mental imbalances that we all experience. There has been many other flower essences made after that time and are also extremely effective in clearing emotional blockages.
Rescue Remedy is Dr. Bach’s emergency formula for immediate shock, stress and traumatic experiences. The formula includes the essences: Cherry Plum, Clematis, Impatiens, Rock Rose and Star of Bethlehem. These essences work together to subdue the feelings from shock, panic, fear of losing control, lack of clarity and acting out impulsively. This remedy helps to calm the person and bring them back to the present moment.
This is the single most important synergistic remedy to have in times of acute or traumatic stress. It can help to calm a person to cope with a current trauma or a past traumatic event that is re-emerging. Rescue Remedy can be used in any stressful event or after receiving bad news. It is a must have to keep around at all times.
